Genesis Transport Service, Inc.

The company name " Genesis " was derived from a  biblical word meaning " the beginning ". Half of the letter "G" in its logo shows the Philippine map which represents the center of its operations.

Genesis was started its operation in the year 1991 having a shuttle bus traveling from Paskuhan Village, San fernado, Pampanga ( Olongapo- Gapan Road ) to Metro Manila. Until having three (3 ) buses operated by two partners and six crews. Started from three buses, it grew to owning 300 buses in the year 2007  which expanded its operation in Central Luzon that includes Baguio, Tarlac , Cabanatuan, Bataan and Aurora.

In the year 2006, Genesis Transport opened  Manila Genesis Charters & Tours, Inc. as its new  subsidiary which offers chartered tourist service and shuttle service in Clark Economic Zone in Pampanga.

In the year 2010,  Genesis Transport Service, Inc. make known to the public its partnership to Dagupan Bus Inc. and to Saulog Transit. In that same year, it started also a new service called Joy Bus, a non- stop 28 seater executive coach with comfort room and a wifi-equipped that  initially offers trip  from Cubao to Baler, Aurora,  until on 2012 they extended  its service from Cubao - Baguio City.

San Fabian, Pangasinan

Brief History

The town is used to be called " Angio " meaning  "a tree of most bitter fruit",  where in a  place for mission during that time by the friars of Dominican Order. It was named after Saint Fabian, the saint of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the bishop of Rome from 10 January 236 to his death in 250. He is famous for the miraculous nature of his election, in which a Dove was said to have get down on his head to mark him as the unexpected choice of the Holy spirit to become the next Pope.
According to history,  in the year 1818,  Angalacan river  which is situated in between San fabian and Mangaldan sometimes overflows because of floods that causes boundary dispute between the said two towns. The said dispute was then settled in the year 1900 when the Mayor of the two towns meet and arrived at an agreement wherein they raised a boundary marker at Longos between the towns of San Fabian and Mangaldan. The agreement was signed by Juan Ulanday, Marcelo Erfe,  Nicolas Rosa, and Vicente Padilla which was approved by the American Commander Capt. Ferguson.

Since San Fabian is one of Pangasinan municipalities, it is accessible by land. It can be reach by means of private or public vehicle.  From Pasay City or Cubao, there are bus terminals Dagupan bus for instance who have daily trips bound to Dagupan City via manaoag, you will pass by the town of Mangaladan, just ask the bus conductor to drop you at  Mangaldan public market. When you are at the public market, just look for the jeepneys going to San Fabian. It will only take more or less 15 minutes to reach the town.

Urdaneta City, Pangasinan

Brief History  


History has not been clear on how Urdaneta came about. There were many versions on where the name derived from. One theory says it was derived from the word " Organita " which means " little organ '. Some  speculations also says that it was named after Fr. Miguel de Urdaneta, Fr. Andres Urdaneta or Fr. Simon de Urdaneta. According to the National library states that it was after Fr. Miguel de Urdaneta. According to history  first dwellers are mostly Ilocanos occupying portions of the barrios of the neighboring towns like Villasi, Malasiqui, Asingan, Manaoag, Binalonan and others. The inhabitants gathered together and petitioned the Spanish Government to let them form a separate pueblo which was granted and formally founded on January 8, 1858. It was then until on January 10, 1998, when  the Philippine Congress execute R.A. 8480 known as " An Act Converting the municipality of Urdaneta Province of Pangasinan into a component City  to be known as the City of Urdaneta ". It was then successfully approved and proclaimed as city on March 21, 1998.

Brief History

 

According to History, the area was known to be originally owned by a certain spaniard named Don Salvador. During that time he asked his men to put up barricade along the area to build his ownership. These men used to have their lunch while resting under a camachile tree. It is then called as the place where people bring their " balon " which is an ilocano term meaning " packed Lunch " . Hence the term " binalonan " which is an ilocano term meaning " a place where people bring and eat their packed lunch " was originated.

Rosales Pangasinan, Philippines

Brief History


Rosales is one of the 44 municipalities and 4 cities of Pangasinan Province. It is said to be came from the word" rosal " which is a name of  flower wherein that time are growing plenty in that area. But then, according to the records of spanish it is said to be founded by a pioneering Filipino named Nicolas Bañez.

On March 16,1852, the petition made by Don Gaspar Velo, Simplicio Sansano, Anecito Sansano, Avelino Pine, Luciano Pañgilinan, Joaquin Sevilla, Isabelo Villapa and some not being mentioned granted for the proclamation of Rosales as a separate municipality. The place was named in honor of Don Antonio Rosales. He is an Order of the Royal Audiencia in Manila and a Consejero de Filipinas en el Ministro de Ultramar known as Secretary of Foreign Affairs nowadays.


Rosales belongs to the the 3rd class municipality many years ago, but due to its fast growing economy contributed by many invetors that offers employment and income to our town, good news to my fellow Rosalinians for we are now belong to the 1st class municipalities!
