The Palace announced that October 15, 2013 will be a regular holiday in observance of Eid'l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice among Muslims. Republic Act 9849 was signed in year 2009 which already included as a regular holiday, but presidential proclamation is still needed to declare it a holiday every year since its date is movable depending on islamic calendar.
Deputy President Spokesperson Abigail Valte said that President Benigno Aquino III signed on Thursday the proclamation for the said Islamic holiday.
